I also share my recommendations about the types of food to offer your toddler, how to meet their nutritional needs and what to do if things aren't going to plan.

Hi, I'm Dr Kyla

I'm the proud creator and director of Toddler Mealtimes. I'm a mama to Elsie and Cleo (who you'll see featured lots on this website!) and I'm from sunny Perth, Western Australia. I'm a lover of vegetables, a big fan of sharing food with those you love, and I get to talk about food all day long (it's a perk of the job!)

I'm a paediatric dietitian and I've been specialising in fussy eating for over 15 years. In 2018 I launched Baby Mealtimes to help parents cut through the overwhelm of feeding babies. This was honestly one of the most rewarding times of my career. I decided to start Toddler Mealtimes soon after because I realised that parents of older children were filled with as much self-doubt as those with new babies.

Toddlers are notoriously fussy eaters and this can be an incredibly stressful time for many parents. I know that the way we manage this tricky time has such an impact on how well they eat now and in the future. Having a plan, based on evidence and experience, will help you navigate this stage with confidence.

I believe that Australian parents need a reliable, practical and supportive service to help them feed their toddlers with confidence and without the stress. I want to help you enjoy this stage with your toddler (it can actually be fun!) and feel good about family mealtimes.
